Robotics isn’t just for the kid who codes.

Forgotten Coast Robotics Alliance is a student-led FIRST Tech Challenge team on Florida’s Forgotten Coast. Whether your strength is engineering or writing, design, strategy, or people — there’s a real role here for you.

There’s a Place for Every Kind of Kid Here

One team. Two sub-teams. Endless roles — technical and creative.

To the student

“Not sure you’re a ‘robot person’? Half this team’s roles have nothing to do with code — and they’re not the back seat, they’re how we win awards and earn sponsors.”

To the parent

“You don’t need to be an engineer to support your kid here. The team is student-led, and there’s a role for every kind of strength — including yours, if you want to help.”

Left Brain cannot exist without Right Brain — both sub-teams build one highly functional team.

Proven STEM Outcomes

From local classrooms to international competitions, FIRST transforms education and inspires the next generation of leaders. These results from the FIRST Longitudinal Study show the depth of our impact.

Salary boost chart — FIRST female alumni earn nearly $20,000 more annually than peers

FIRST Alumni Employment and Income

We find, however, statistically significant differences on income. While for the entire sample and for men, the higher reported incomes for FIRST participants are not statistically significantly different from the incomes for the comparison group, female FIRST alumni report significantly higher incomes that are close to $20,000 more annually than female comparison students.
