At FC Robotics we separate our team into two categories, Left Brain and Right Brain. Dividing our robotics team into “left” and “right” sub-teams promotes efficiency and creates more hands-on opportunities for team members to build off of the skills they already have. Left Brain is more technically and mechanically based, With roles that include Software development and Driving. Right brain handles everything else that makes the team function with roles like Social Media Coordinator, Historian, and Finance Coordinator.
By assigning specific groups to manage different aspects of the team we create an environment where roles are defined and clear, making it easy to find your niche within the team. Left Brain cannot exist without Right Brain, and vice versa, they both work together to create one highly functional team.
