Meet the AeroCoast League

A community of 25 FTC teams spanning the Florida Panhandle — from Tallahassee to the Emerald Coast — competing, collaborating, and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

What Is the AeroCoast League?

The AeroCoast League is one of eight regional leagues that make up FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) in Florida. It serves teams across the Florida Panhandle — a stretch of communities running from Tallahassee in the east through Panama City, the Emerald Coast, and all the way to the Pensacola area in the west.

League play consists of a series of League Meets held throughout the fall and winter, followed by a League Tournament where top teams earn advancement to the Florida State Championship.

Coopertition® in the AeroCoast League

“Competing intensely while still lifting up the teams around you — that is the spirit of FIRST, and it is alive and well in the AeroCoast League.”

Like all FTC leagues, AeroCoast teams embody the FIRST principles of Coopertition® and Gracious Professionalism®. During League Meets, it is common to see teams:

  • Sharing spare parts with teams in need of repairs
  • Helping rival teams troubleshoot code or mechanical issues
  • Rookie teams receiving mentorship from experienced veterans
  • Celebrating each other’s awards and achievements genuinely

This culture is a big part of what makes joining the AeroCoast League — and FTC in general — such a rewarding experience beyond the competition itself. Learn more about Coopertition® here →

Our Team in the AeroCoast League

🤖 Forgotten Coast Robotics Alliance

We are a new team forming along the Forgotten Coast — the stretch of unspoiled coastline around Apalachicola and surrounding communities. Our goal is to compete in the AeroCoast League and to inspire more young people from our region to discover engineering, programming, and leadership through FIRST Tech Challenge.
